Session Title: Early career researcher’s guide to PhD supervision
Description: In this lunchtime session, we will introduce the HEA Teaching Fellowships and the UKCGE Supervisory Best Practice framework and highlight how these two guides to best practice can be usefully used for both early career academics who have started working within departments and post-doctoral researchers working with PhD and undergraduate project students. We will highlight ways to learn about recent research into PGR best practice, ways to reflect on your own supervision with students and how project supervision can be used to address HEA fellowship applications.
